Fahron's specialty is assisting small businesses with servicing their retirement plans and SIMPLE IRA plans. His hobbies include biking, hiking, camping, kayaking and writing with fountain pens.
How long have you been in the financial services industry? Not long enough! I love this calling.
What licenses/professional designations do you have? Series 6, Series 63, and CPFA.
Where have you previously worked? Norfolk Southern Railway for 31 years.
What do you enjoy most about your career? People! I love helping both the individual as well as the employer. For the individual it's about understanding how and why to invest for the future and how to maximize their employer's retirement plan to benefit their family. For the employer who desires to help their employees have a more secure future it's about thinking long-term and providing retirement education. That is what we do.
If you weren't in the financial services industry, what other job would you have? I love to teach so I would probably look for a job with that in mind.
What "lesson from mom" do you still live by today? Spend less than you make and produce more than you promise.
What's your favorite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon? A spontaneous overnight trip out of town without hotel reservations with my wife. She prefers making plans.
What would be impossible for you to give up? Driving, whether it’s a car or my wife crazy. Oh yeah, COFFEE! And fountain pens.
Quick. Word association. What words describe you? Sincere, lighthearted and joyful.
What are you passionate about personally? What do you really enjoy? What can't you stop talking about? Marriage, parenting, family and faith.
Any volunteer activities you're crazy about? Once again, people. I lead a small group, assist with youth activities and lead ManCamp for middle/high school young men. I plan and prepare seasonal series on parenting and marriage for adults in addition to regular weekly studies.
